Dr. Janaka Wickramasinghe is a qualified medical doctor and seasoned business leader who has been at the helm of Tropical Island Commodities (PVT) Ltd since 2007. As a second-generation leader in this family-owned enterprise, he has played a pivotal role in steering the company toward continued success in the global spice export market.
With over 30 years of experience in the spice industry, Dr. Wickramasinghe brings deep industry knowledge, operational expertise, and a strong commitment to quality and sustainability. Under his direction, Tropical Island Commodities has strengthened its reputation as a trusted exporter of premium Ceylon spices to international markets.
In addition to his role at Tropical Island Commodities, he also serves as Chief Operating Officer and Director at Navesta Pharmaceuticals (PVT) Ltd, contributing to the healthcare sector with nearly 20 years of pharmaceutical industry experience.

Dynamic corporate professional Danesh Abeyrathne serves the LOLC Group as Director and Chief Executive Officer of LOLC Advanced Technologies, the Research and Innovation arm of the renowned LOLC Group. also, the former Chief Operating Officer and presently the Executive Director of the Browns Group. The young professional, with his proven track record in the fields of Engineering, Manufacturing, Plantation, Agriculture, Marketing, and Research and Development, is also serving on some noteworthy foreign boards.

Mr. Abeyrathne holds a Bachelor of Science (Hons) degree in Engineering from the University of Ruhuna. He is an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing (UK) and the Institute of Engineers (SL), as well as a Fellow Member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (UK) and the Chartered Global Management Accountants (CGMA) (USA).

Danushka MDDN Mallawarachchi is a seasoned accountant who began his career at KPMG Sri Lanka as an Audit Trainee, eventually rising to the position of Assistant Manager.

Danushka MDDN Mallawarachchi is a seasoned accountant who began his career at KPMG Sri Lanka as an Audit Trainee, eventually rising to the position of Assistant Manager. In 2011, he joined LOLC Holdings in Sri Lanka as an Assistant Finance Manager and has since progressed to the role of Assistant General Manager. He currently oversees the financial operations of LOLC Group's international subsidiaries, including those in Indonesia, the Philippines, Myanmar, Kenya, Tanzania, and Zimbabwe. He also holds directorships on the boards of several other companies within the LOLC Group.
Danushka brings extensive expertise in corporate finance, internal controls, process re-engineering, IFRS implementation, investment analysis, and restructuring. He holds an MBA from the prestigious University of Colombo in Sri Lanka and He is an Associate Member of both the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka and the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (UK). Danushka also serves as a Non-Executive Director on the Board of Finatrust, where he provides strategic financial insights and process re-engineering initiatives for the bank.

With a distinguished career marked by leadership, discipline, and operational excellence, Major Vajira kumarathunge (Rtd) brings over three decades of experience from both military and corporate sectors.
Following his education, he joined the Sri Lanka Army as a Cadet Officer, rising through the ranks to become a Senior Major. Throughout his military service, he held a wide range of command and staff appointments across the island. His key roles included serving as Media Spokesman, Director Media, Director Welfare, Director of Commandant Funds, Director Investigations, and Director Aesthetics at the Department of Civil Security, showcasing his expertise in both strategic communication and administration.
Upon retiring from military service, he transitioned to the corporate sector with the same commitment and leadership. He began as Deputy General Manager – Marketing & Promotions at Independent Television Network (ITN), contributing to national media development. He then moved into the plantation industry, joining Lanka Sugar Company as Chief Operating Officer (COO).
Continuing his trajectory in agribusiness, he was appointed Chief Executive Officer of Ethimale Sugar Plantation, followed by a leadership role as CEO at Ceylon Coco Manufacturers Pvt Ltd. He was later reappointed as the CEO of Lanka Sugar Company Pvt Ltd, underscoring his strong leadership and trust in the industry.
Currently, Major Vajira Kumarathunge (Rtd) serves as a Chief Executive Officer of Tropical Island Commodities Pvt Ltd, Head of Forestry – Browns Plantations and Head of Cinnamon & Other Crops - Browns Plantation, where he continues to apply his visionary leadership and operational expertise to grow sustainable agricultural enterprises.

Vikum Weerasinghe has 15 years of experience in financial management, auditing, and strategic planning across diverse sectors. Currently serving as Manager – Finance, Vikum has built a strong reputation for his analytical expertise, leadership in financial operations, and commitment to maintaining robust internal control systems.
He is a Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka (ACA) and the Institute of Certified Management Accountants of Sri Lanka (ACMA), and also holds a Master’s Degree in Financial Economics from the University of Colombo (MFE), which adds strong professional and academic grounding to his practical experience. Over the years, Vikum has played a key role in overseeing budgeting, cash flow management, financial reporting and management, and compliance, while also leading internal audit functions aimed at improving operational transparency and accountability.
