Production & Sourcing

Cultivation

Ceylon Cinnamon or True Cinnamon trees require a warm and humid environment, well-drained soil, and ample sunlight to flourish. The cultivation process begins by selecting healthy seedlings and planting them in prepared beds or directly in the ground.

Large- and Small-Scale Plantations

Cinnamon Plantation With Mountain View

A large quantity of Ceylon Cinnamon, as well as Ceylon Spices supplied from us, are sourced from Maturata, Udupussellawa, and Hapugastenne plantations, which are some of the largest regional plantations owned by Browns Plantations PLC. With the merger with Browns Group in 2020 we became the only exporter to have access to 1000 acres of single-owned cinnamon plantation enabling us access to a seamless supply chain managing quality from plantation to our end customer.

Small Holder Independent Farmers

Production & Processing

We believe in small-batch production and we only source from plantations and smallholder farmers who engage in sustainable producing spices under premium quality standards.

This allows us to maintain close quality control and ensure that each batch of our spices meets our exacting standards.
